Athens Technical College
Rules to Follow While Attending DFCS Training
- Students and Trainers should park in lots designated for student
parking. Faculty space is limited, and therefore must be kept available
for Athens Technical College employees. Student lots are located beside the Business & Industry 2 Building (the building where the classroom is located), and accross the parking lot- behind Business & Industry 1. Maps of the campus and parking lots will be provided for students on the first day of class.
Any vehicle parked in a faculty space without a proper permit, or parked outside of a designated parking space is subject
to being towed at the owner's expense.
- All students and trainers should obtain a parking permit on the first day of class. Any vehicle failing
to display a permit on campus will receive a $10.00 citation, and is subject
to towing at the owner's expense.
- Cell phones should not be used within the classroom or interior hallway,
as this is a distraction for teachers and students. Cell phones may
be used outside of the building and in the cafeteria. Pay phones are
located in the 200, 300, and 700 wings, as well as outside of the cafeteria.
- ALL SUPPLIES (INCLUDING FLIPCHART PADS, DRY ERASE MARKERS, PAPER,
ETC.) MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE INSTRUCTOR.
- Hand written signs must not be placed on the door to the classrooom
or in the hallway outside of the classroom. A sign which identifies
the classroom as a DFCS training site will be provided.
- The copy machine located in Business & Industry 2 is for trainer use only. Student copy machines
are located in the library.
- Please make sure that the doors to the classroom and office are closed
and locked when not in use.
- Food and beverages are not to be taken outside of the training hub.
ANY spills should be reported IMMEDIATELY so that Maintenance can be notified. Any leftover
food items should be either removed from the training hub or placed
in a waste receptacle. Typically, food and drinks are not allowed within
ATC classrooms. We ask that care is taken to keep the training hub clean
and free from food and beverage spills. Cleaning supplies are located
in the training hub storage room.
- At the end of the training session, any supplies that are to be discarded
should be placed in waste receptacles or boxes and placed next to the
door. We ask that the room be left in order and that trash be placed
in this designated area so that the maintenance staff can clean the
room for the following weeks class. If a larger trash can is needed,
please notify the main office and one will be provided.
