Trainees are to bring the following to Foundations Training:
- An up-to-date Program
policy manual: (CPS or Foster Care)
- On-The-Job Training Guide with Week I OJT completed
Regarding OJT
Supervisors and trainees are
asked to do the following to maximize the benefits of the training:
- Week I OJT should be completed
prior to attending Foundations Training. If the trainee does not have
an OJT Guide, the supervisor should request one by contacting:
Taiwanna Head: (404) 463-7241
or
GroupWise thead@dhr.state.ga.us
- For New Case Managers:
Record completion of OJT activities in the "date completed"
column of the Master Checklist and sign off on all worksheets that have
been completed and reviewed. Activities that are not applicable to the
trainee's job description will be marked "N/Ap" on the Master
Checklist.
- For Veteran Case Managers:
If the trainee is a veteran case manager, the supervisor should review
the OJT Master Checklist with them. The supervisor will initial and
date the "date completed" column for all the activities in
which the trainee has proficiency. The trainee will complete other activities/worksheets
as determined by the supervisor. Activities that are not applicable
to the trainee's job description will be marked "N/Ap" on
the Master Checklist.
