To access the Online Policy Manuals, you must use the Internet Explorer Web browser. Follow the instructions below to access the Online Policy Manuals using Internet Explorer. It is strongly recommended that you print this page of instructions now. (If you cannot print this page, or if, for any other reason, you are having trouble with this part of the training, please feel free to call the Help Desk at 706-355-5144).

1. In the lower left hand corner of your screen, mouse-click the Start button, then use your mouse to move the arrow up until it points to and highlights the word Programs. To the right of the word Programs you should see a list of programs. One of these should be Internet Explorer. Use your mouse to move the arrow until it points to and highlights the words Internet Explorer and then mouse-click to select it.

2. Internet Explorer will launch a new window. This new window will "cover up" the window you were previously working with. Keeping in mind that the old window is still accessible via the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, you will now use the Internet Explorer window to access the Online Policy Manuals.

3. In the Internet Explorer window, find the Address Bar located near the top of the window and type in it the following Internet address:

http://www.odis.dhr.state.ga.us/3000_fam/FamilyChildren.htm

4. You should now see an index page with links to various manuals. Using the chart below as a guide, choose the manual you wish to view and mouseclick the appropriate link.
