Always ask yourself, "Will the change cause the FS benefit level to increase or decrease?"
IF	THEN
The change causes a DECREASE in benefits	The change is effective the month after timely notice expires
The change causes an INCREASE in benefits	The change is effective the month after verification is provided and the case manager takes action*

*Exception--Expedited Changes: If the AU has a loss of $50 or more in income or a new AU member moves in, the change is effective the month after report.
