APPLICATION
Verify all countable income. 
Interest Income 
 Verify only if the amount exceeds $10 per month.
    For excluded income, verify the basis of exclusion (see following examples).
Loans
 Verify that the money is a loan.
Vendor payments
 Verify from the source that the money is given in the form of a vendor payment (directly to the provider). 
Educational income
 Verify which portion of the money is specifically earmarked for education.
For terminated income, verify the amount of income only if questionable or if the income is actually being budgeted in the application month. Verify the termination date and date of last check only if questionable.

  • Verify unearned income changes of $50 or more.
CHANGES
Income

If the change results in increase in FS benefits request verification within 10 days.

If the change results in a decrease or termination of FS benefits, act on the AU's statement. Request third party verification at the next review if applicable.
