FS recipients (with the exception of those listed below) have a work requirement and must be referred to E&T.  The following individuals are exempt from the work requirement:

The E&T status of any AU member meeting an exemption is "NI" on the Work Screen

AG
A child under the age of 16
AG
A child age 16 or 17 who is not the Head of AU. Verification of school attendance and wages are required if the student is employed.
AG
An adult age 60 or over
ST
A student enrolled at least half time in any school, training program, or institution of higher learning. Form 875 required from school to verify enrollment and educational assistance.
RF
A refugee student participating in a recognized refugee educational/training program at least half time. Verification of participation required.
CA
A caretaker of a dependent child under age 6 (child does not have to be a member of AU or live in home--only one adult may use this exemption)
CA
A caretaker needed on a continuous basis to care for another individual with a mental or physical impairment (the patient does not need to be a member of the AU or a resident in the AU's home)
FE
An AU member who is receiving disability benefits (SSI, RSDI, 100% VA, Railroad Retirement, Worker's Compensation, etc.) SDX, BENDEX, and/or Award letter required.
SS
SSI/FS initial application filed at SSA. Verification of SSI application status not required if information is forwarded from SSA.
PR
An AU member who is experiencing a high risk pregnancy (high risk must be verified by a medical statement)
TI
An AU member who is physically and mentally unfit for work- temporarily incapacitated ( requires medical verification)
AD
An IPV disqualified, SSN disqualified, or ineligible AU member
EM
An AU member who is working an average of 30 hours a week, or earning weekly the equivalent of 30 hours at minimum wage. Verification of wages required.
VV
A VISTA volunteer
MI
A seasonal farm worker who is under contract to begin work within 30 days
DR
A regular participant in a drug/alcohol treatment or rehabilitation program. Verification of participation required.
UC
Receiving UCB (or have applied for or approved for UCB). Verification of application for benefits required if questionable.
PC
An individual complying with a TANF work requirement
